We recommend wrapping in foil and roasting in a pre-heated oven at 190c for around 90 minutes or 40 min per kg, then add 15-20 minutes. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the bacon. Check with a meat thermometer and allow to rest for 20 minutes.

I ordered this to serve for our Christmas Day meal. If I said that it was fabulous I am not doing the bird justice. I followed the cooking instructions to the letter and allowed it to rest wrapped up in a couple of tea towels for around 40 minutes while we ate our starters and opened the table gifts. It was easy to carve, succulent and utterly delicious. There were four of us for Christmas Dinner, two of us had sandwiches on Boxing Day and another five of us finished it off as part of an eat up buffet on the 27th. Thank you Grid Iron, I will definitely be ordering this again as it was excellent and great value.
