Rest assured, we have taken every precaution to maintain the quality of your order in the event of a delay. Our insulated boxes, equipped with cooling gel packs, are rigorously tested to stay cool for up to 48 hours even during summer, ensuring that your food remains in perfect condition, even if there’s an unexpected hold-up in delivery.
Yes, our packs are fully recyclable. Once defrosted, cut open the pack and pour the non-toxic solution down the drain. Rinsing with hot tap water will help dissolve the gel faster. The plastic outer can be recycled according to your local recycling regulations.
Provenance & Animal Welfare
Our meat is not certified organic, but it comes from local farms that we know and trust. Our animals are fed a natural diet and are free from growth hormones and antibiotics.
We source quality meats from well-raised animals on local North Yorkshire farms.
No, our meat is not Halal. Our farmers send animals to local abattoirs where they are slaughtered in a stress-free and humane manner.
Our beef is grass-fed. The cattle are free to roam and graze on pastures when conditions allow. When pasture grazing is not possible, they are given a grass-based alternative.
Animal welfare is very important to us. Our animals are raised on local farms with care, ensuring they live in healthy conditions. The animals are slaughtered at local abattoirs, where the process is conducted humanely to minimise stress.
Native breed animals, which we specialise in, don’t grow quickly, and developing flavour takes time and care. We don’t artificially fatten our animals or use growth hormones. If you’re on a budget, consider some of the less popular cuts, such as shin and shoulder, which are often less expensive. These cuts may take more care and time in preparation, but they offer great taste and depth of flavour.
When you buy meat from us, you’re sourcing directly from a small farmers. All our meat goes through one butchery with expert butchers who care about the quality of their work. The farms we use raise animals sustainably, allowing them to forage naturally in pastures and roam freely, eating a natural diet without antibiotics.
