Yorkshire Frankfurters! How can that be?
Everyone loves Frankfurters (Hot Dogs), the problem is we always get that nagging feeling of wondering what’s actually in it. The Grid Iron Company have solved that problem by producing a traditional Frankfurter made with outdoor reared, higher welfare pork from North Yorkshire. Each of our Yorkshire Frankfurters is made by hand using the best pork and natural casings before being lightly smoked over wood chips.
Frankfurters are made all over the world, so why not use some great Yorkshire native breed pork to add that bit of confidence in the quality of what you’re eating.
Our pork is from local farms in North Yorkshire. These pigs produce meat with great depth of flavour and a healthy natural fat content. This makes the pork perfect for producing Yorkshire Frankfurters with the right texture and that all important “snap”. Our Yorkshire Frankfurters are an “emulsion” sausage where the pork meat and fat are blended at the right temperature before being filled into natural casings.
Our Franks are made by Artisan charcutiers who care deeply about the quality and consistency of the product and who have brought their wealth of experience, over many decades, to produce an authentic tasting Hot Dog made entirely in the UK.
Cook for 6-10 minutes in boiling water.

I’m not an expert on Frankfurters as they are usually an ‘easy tea’ when pressed for time. These are a bit special though….not just a cheap snack that leaves you feeling a bit unsatisfied.

Great tasting franks, however frying them rendered any of the fats away. Will buy again.
