Description
Minute Steak – Thin and tender cut of beef – Can be pan-fried or grilled – Cooks in minutes – Rich flavour and juicy texture – Easy to make with simple ingredients.
Minute steak is a semi-lean cut of beef that is known for its quick and easy cooking time. It has quickly become a popular meal due to its delicious taste and convenience. Nutritional facts indicate that one 140g serving of minute steak contains 180 calories, with 8g of total fat, 3.5g of which are saturated fat. In relation to daily values, that amounts to 11% and 18%, respectively.
Cooking steak quickly is a skill that requires attention and practice. To ensure the steak is cooked properly yet remains succulent, it is best to use a large hot frying pan. Heat the pan up on high heat and then add a few tablespoons of oil with some salt and pepper to the pan. Once the pan has heated up properly, place the steak in the middle of the pan and cook for one minute before flipping over and cooking for another minute on the other side. The goal here is to create a nice brown charred crust without overcooking it, so if you want them rare you should reduce the time slightly.
Once both sides are cooked remove from heat and allow to rest for at least 5 minutes. This will allow juices to be reabsorbed into the steak making it more tender and juicy as opposed to overly dry. When you do this correctly you’ll have an irresistibly moist steak that still has its succulence retained, rather than becoming tough from overcooking or drying out from lack of moisture from improper resting techniques.
Minute steak is a great choice for busy weeknights, as it cooks up quickly and can be served with a variety of sides. Serve alongside mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables or your favourite salad for a balanced meal. For an even quicker meal, try topping this steak with sautéed onions , mushrooms and peppers for a delicious steak fajita. No matter how you serve it, this delicious cut of beef will be sure to please.
For an even more special meal, try topping minute steak with a tasty béarnaise sauce. This classic French sauce pairs perfectly with the juicy texture of this steak and will elevate your meal to the next level. Another popular way to serve minute steak is in a sandwich. Top it with sautéed mushrooms, onions and peppers for a hearty lunch or dinner. You can’t go wrong with this easy and delicious cut of beef!

Doesn’t have the typical sting beef smell that I don’t like. Very tender. I advice 50sec each side not 1minute if you want to have pink centre.
