STORAGE

To properly store ‘nduja once it’s been opened, it’s essential to follow certain steps to maintain its quality and extend its shelf life. ‘Nduja is a uniquely spreadable and spicy Italian salami, known for its bold taste and versatility in cooking. Here’s how you can store it effectively:

Airtight Container: After opening, it’s best to keep ‘nduja in an airtight container. This prevents it from drying out and protects it from absorbing unwanted flavours or odours from your fridge.

Refrigeration: Store the ‘nduja in the refrigerator. The cool temperature slows down the rate of fat oxidation and bacterial growth, which can cause spoilage.

Use Clean Utensils: Always use a clean knife or spoon when handling ‘nduja to avoid cross-contamination.

Regular Checks: Occasionally check your ‘nduja for any signs of spoilage such as an off smell or visible mould. If either is present, it’s best to discard it.

Limit Exposure to Air: Each time you use ‘nduja, try to limit its exposure to air. Quickly returning it to its container and the refrigerator after use will help maintain its quality.

Wrap in Parchment Paper: If you don’t have an airtight container, you can wrap the ‘nduja in parchment paper and then place it in a resealable plastic bag. Ensure the bag is tightly sealed.

Consider Freezing: If you don’t plan to use the ‘nduja for a while, you can freeze it. Wrap it tightly in cling film or a freezer bag. However, freezing might slightly alter the texture.

We prepare your order in our butchery on the day before delivery to ensure that everything reaches you in the best condition.

UK MAINLAND DELIVERIES

We deliver on a next day service throughout the UK mainland (please see below for restrictions). Your order is shipped in an insulated box.

Our delivery service allows you to pick a delivery date in advance when you reach the checkout. Our delivery days are Tuesday to Friday.

We use a courier service. They will notify you on the morning of delivery with an estimated time for delivery.

Delivery is free on orders over £50. (under £50 = £12.95) Sorry This is due to the cost involved in our chilled packaging and courier cost.
