Wild North Yorkshire Pheasant stuffed with pheasant and pork mince.
This makes a delicious alternative roast. A whole wild pheasant, stuffed with pheasant, rare breed pork and Old Fashioned bacon stuffing. Boneless and easy to carve with no waste.

Chose the pheasant ballot one as an alternative to turkey for Christmas Day. Beautiful piece of meat, arrived well packaged and ready to pop in the oven.
Despite no cooking instructions (these would have been really helpful!) it was easy to cook and tasted delicious.

This was absolutely fantastic great value for money and tasted lovely it could easily feed six people. We had it with cherry and red wine sauce

Great alternative to the usual turkey served at Christmas

The ballotine was excellent, the only point against it was I had to cook it without direction. I cooked it at 180 until the meat thermometer gave me the doneness I wanted.

We will definitely purchase more. The meat was really fresh when delivered and absolutely delicious when cooked!

I’ve eaten more than my fair share of pheasant over the years but this was truly delicious and more than enough for 4 people. Only slight issue was lack of cooking times but roasted it in a Ninja foodi until the stuffing read 65c and it was fab. Just cover with foil for the first 30mins. Yet again another amazing purchase from Grid Iron.

I loved it – the stuffing especially! It is Pheasant so gamey but pretty mild. Son wasn’t a fan. Maybe a good way of introducing someone to it. One draw back is having to find best way of cooking it – instructions please.
