The secret recipe for Doreens’s black pudding was devised by Doreen Haigh over 20 years ago. The black puddings are oven baked rather than boiled concentrating the puddings flavour in the most effective way to give a drier, meatier taste.

Enjoyed this as part of a full breakfast in a cafe in Thirsk, beautiful flavour and texture and rightly deserves the awards it’s had. Will try it with some scallops next and will definately order more of it.
