These 1kg packs contain compact rings sawn across dense beef leg bones, principally the femur, exposing the marrow through the centre. Cut from native-breed beef sourced from North Yorkshire farms, the ring format fits easily into stockpots and roasting trays and is ideal for stock, broth, gravy and sauces.
£7.95
Beef marrow bone rings are cross-cut sections of dense beef leg bone, principally the femur, with the marrow exposed through the centre. Their compact shape makes them particularly practical for stockpots and roasting trays.
Use them for beef stock, bone broth, gravy, sauces, soups, stews, curries and risottos. Roasting first is optional: roast at 220°C fan for 25–30 minutes for a deeper savoury flavour, or simmer directly for a lighter stock. The Grid Iron marrow-bone stock method uses 1kg to make approximately 2–2.5 litres of finished stock.
For detailed methods, see our Beef Marrow Bone Stock, Collagen-Rich Beef Bone Broth and Beef Stock Concentrate recipes.
Choose rings when you want compact cross-cut bones for stock or broth. Choose our Marrow Bone Boats when you want bones split lengthways for roasting, scooping and serving the marrow. For a fuller broth, combine marrow rings with Mixed Beef Bones, which provide more joint and knuckle bone structure.
