Our Yorkshire Christmas Cockerel is a whole roasting bird from East Yorkshire, offering a traditional, fuller-flavoured alternative to turkey for Christmas dinner. Fed on locally grown grain, the bird has firm, succulent meat that roasts beautifully with butter, herbs and a little seasoning.
Select a whole bird from the available weight options above. Weights are approximate. The whole cockerel includes both breast and leg meat; for a smaller gathering or easier carving, see our Yorkshire Christmas Cockerel Crown – 1.5kg.
Keep refrigerated in accordance with the label. Roast until the thickest part of the meat reaches a safe cooked temperature, check with a food thermometer, and allow the bird to rest before carving. Use the packaging instructions and weight to plan cooking time.
