Our couriers, APC are experiencing very high volumes at present and an increasing absence of drivers. Although they prioritise perishable goods, they are now also giving priority to medical supplies.
WHAT IS THE RISK?
Last week 98% of all our courier orders were delivered safely to customers and we were able to refund in full those that were not delivered. This success rate may well change and we will be monitoring the situation closely.
We are in constant contact with the couriers and they have assigned us personal representatives who are chasing up any orders that are not out for delivery to minimise losses.
You will receive an email when your order leaves with a link to track it and get details of your local depot.
If the courier is unable to deliver on the first day, they will try again the following day. Our boxes are designed to stay cool for 48 hours in summer.
THE ACTION YOU NEED TO TAKE
If you would like to cancel the order now, let us know and we will give you a full refund immediately or put it on hold for you until we know more about the situation.
If you go ahead, look out for an email from the courier or ourselves with tracking information. If you don’t have the parcel by 4pm on your chosen day, we suggest you contact the local depot to check with them. If you would like the courier to leave your parcel somewhere, please leave a clear note for the driver.
IF YOU’RE IN A “BD” POST CODE OR LEEDS, YORK, RIPON, HARROGATE AREA WE WILL BE ABLE TO DELIVER USING OUR OWN TRANSPORT OR LOCAL APC BRANCH WHICH IS NOT CURRENTLY A PROBLEM.

We age our beef and pork for extra flavour and texture. We have our own maturation room in our butchery, where we use Himalayan rock salt to help draw out moisture.
