In the heart of North Yorkshire, on the picturesque Bell family farm, a culinary gem was born – Bluemin White Cheese. This rich and creamy wheel of pleasure has become a firm favourite in the Bell family home, and it’s not hard to see why.
Crafted in small truckles, Bluemin White undergoes a meticulous ripening process in carefully managed ripening stores. What sets it apart is its unique journey; there’s no piercing to create blue veins, but instead, it develops a sumptuous velvety blue rind, ripening gently from the outside in. This patient approach breaks down the cheese’s body, transforming it into an unctuous heaven for your taste buds.
As these little truckles mature in the first store, they are then delicately wrapped and moved to the next, where they develop their rich, nutty flavour and an astonishing melt-in-the-mouth texture that is simply divine.
The story of Bluemin White dates back to 2010 when it was lovingly crafted by Katie Matten (née Bell) on the family farm. Its exceptional quality was quickly recognised when it earned a prestigious three-star Great Taste Award, placing it among the top 125 delectable foods in the country. Since then, this cheese has continued to shine, earning multiple Super Golds and Golds at the World Cheese Awards and taking home the Gold at the British Cheese Awards.
Shepherd’s Purse Bluemin White Cheese is not just a cheese; it’s an artisan masterpiece that embodies the essence of North Yorkshire’s rich culinary heritage. Taste the richness, delight in the creaminess, and experience the true taste of tradition with every bite of Bluemin White.
Contains MILK (pasteurised).
