Our Italian style porchetta is rolled native breed, milk fed pork reared by Charles Ashbridge at Mount Grace Farm in North Yorkshire. To prepare our porchetta the butchers at Taste Tradition bone and roll a milk fed pig before cutting into portions of the right size. All our porchetta is prepared on the day that we send it out to you, ensuring that it reaches you in the best condition and perfectly fresh. Porchetta is well suited to slow roasting allowing the flavours and juices of the fat to infuse the meat keeping it moist and wonderfully tasty with a crispy crackling skin.

UK MAINLAND DELIVERIES

We deliver on a next day service throughout the UK (please see below for restrictions). Your order is shipped in an insulated box. Our delivery service allows you to pick a delivery date in advance when you reach the checkout. We are currently trying to restrict our delivery days to Thursday & Friday to enable us to plan efficiently. If you prefer a different day please get in touch and we’ll do our very best to help.

Delivery is free on orders over £45.

Our butchers tips

Our Porchetta combines the best of British native breed pork with it’s continental inspiration.

In Italy methods of making porchetta vary from region to region, but it is often made from a whole boned and rolled milk fed pig that is stuffed with herbs and spit roasted. This is the Italian’s version of a hog roast and it’s not uncommon to see street food vans selling spit roasted porchetta in sandwiches.

We’ve taken this Italian classic as our inspiration. We use outdoor reared, native breed, milk fed pigs raised by Charles Ashbridge on his Mount Grace farm in North Yorkshire. The quality of this rare breed pork makes it the perfect choice as the starting point.

A team of expert butchers, at the Taste Tradition butchery in Ripon, transform the milk fed pork into porchetta by boning and then rolling and tying by hand into an easily cooked and carved joint.
